Migrate Data

Migrate to a new computer:

  1. Close client on old computer
  2. Copy the entire data folder
  3. Install TgeBrowser on new computer
  4. Copy data folder to corresponding location on new computer
  5. Start client, environments and configurations will load automatically

Multi-User Isolation

Windows User Isolation

Each Windows user has independent data:

  • Data stored in respective user directories
  • Complete data isolation between users
  • No interference, ensuring privacy

Multi-Configuration Management

To manage multiple configurations:

  1. Create different data folders
  2. Use different startup parameters to specify data directory
  3. Or use different Windows user accounts

Enterprise Deployment

Batch Deployment

Enterprise environment batch deployment solution:

  1. Silent Installation: Use silent installation parameters of installer
  2. Pre-configuration: Prepare standard configuration files
  3. Batch Distribution: Distribute through enterprise management tools
  4. Centralized Management: Unified management through scripts or tools

Network Isolation

Suitable for intranet environment deployment:

  • Completely offline operation
  • No internet connection required (except for downloading updates)
  • Suitable for environments with high network security requirements

Centralized Data Management

Enterprises can:

  • Use network shared storage for unified backup
  • Regularly collect environment configurations
  • Achieve configuration standardization

Common Issues

Data Loss

Issue: Environment data suddenly disappears

Solution:

  1. Check if data folder is complete
  2. Restore data from backup
  3. Check if disk space is sufficient

Data Corruption

Issue: Environment cannot start or data is abnormal

Solution:

  1. Try restarting the client
  2. Check if database file is corrupted
  3. Restore from most recent backup

Migration Failure

Issue: Environment cannot be used after migration

Solution:

  1. Confirm data folder is completely copied
  2. Check new computer's system version compatibility
  3. Confirm file permissions are correct

Disk Space

Issue: Data occupies too much space

Solution:

  1. Clean up unnecessary environments
  2. Regularly clean browser cache
  3. Delete old backup files
  4. Use "Clear Cache" function
